Breaking News
I have to admit that I have had little interest in this Schuster murder case in California, despite the local connections. Still, it was nice to see the Herald-Whig use its website to break a news story after the paper had already gone to print. Maybe they'll start doing that more, and the H-W's website will become useful.

Don't count on it.
Speaking of odd things on websites....
After you click on a story on WGEM's website, over on the right under "More Headlines" is a list of servicemen's names. Nothing more, just their names. If you click on a name, it gives you a page with that name on it. Anybody know what's up with that?
They were recently added holiday greetings from local soldiers stationed overseas. What you were seeing were the most recently added clips. They've cycled out now, and are accessible from the banner at the bottom.
It's just the way the system works; you'll rarely see anything over there aside from actual stories.
Thanks for the info.
Yeah, I kind of wondered about the enormous use of space for the Schuster case. I even knew the decedent and I wasn't interested in all the nuances of the case.
The prosecutor's critique of the defendant's testimony, that nobody saw was particularly over the top.
Now, just in time, the Ursa Marine is charged so maybe we'll have another faraway trial that nobody is interested in to follow.
Continued Success
