Nothing significant to comment on in local media lately....just a few observations.....
The Whig needs to cut off the smoking debate in the letters column. Nothing but acrimony and repetition for weeks now.
"Rushmore of Rock" disappeared without a trace. If the H-W is going to try something interactive, it needs to follow through.
Nothing the Whig likes better than a new big-money building project. This time it's $34 million for the port terminal. Who exactly stands to profit from this enterprise? And not just "the public will benefit"......but who are the investors in this thing? And why should the various branches of government pitch in to help them make money? Last time I checked, ADM stock was at a new high. So maybe if they need a new terminal they should built it themselves.
