Inquiring Minds Want to Know...

More about those water quality violations mentioned in teeny-tiny print in the classifieds section Sunday. They sound like news. Were they simple, minor violations, such as recordkeeping? Or were they serious and chronic violations? Gotta love the legal notices.

Don O'Brien's column about ten years of sports coverage was enjoyable. But "have went"? Tsk tsk, copy editors.

If you go to the City Code Book, Section 24.802, there is a list of what can and can't be discharged down the POTW (sewer system). Any violations are recorded. Samples are taken monthly. Samples out on 66% of 6 months of samples leads to chronic violation. POTW then is required to publish the Chronic Violaters in the paper. Some are major, some are minor, but ANY violations are recorded.

I know my "shit"...

Have you read the Whig? There is no way that there is a copy editor employed there!
