I don't get it

Why mention that two of the plaintiffs in the Niekamp suit are African-American? What difference does that make? They're not all African-American, and it's not as though the school board dispute has had anything to do with racial issues. It's a very odd addition to the story.

And in the companion story, Niekamp is quoted as blaming the "defendents." Um, isn't he the defendant?

Both pieces seem produced and edited in haste.

The online story headline is another cutie, too: "Fourteen file Lawsuit filed to have Niekamp removed from Quincy School Board."

Slow down, guys, proofread and think.

All Is Well

The eight-foot boa hissed a little upon capture but didn't bite anybody or eat any pets, as far as we know.

And the school board, after trying to coax Bud back into his cage with tasty treats, has gotten out the sticks and is going to whomp him into line.
