Quincy makes the national news

And in such a horrible way. People who complain about "the media" should remember that usually it's events that drive the newspeople, not the other way around.

Hard story to cover. First day coverage in the Whig was excellent and tasteful.

The spread last Sunday about the school board candidates was very well designed. The candidates were vague, but that's their job. The real red meat always comes in the letters to the editor section.

Push Polls

I was phoned last week by the "Ask Illinois" fake poll recording. Is this what local politics has come to? Embarrassing and all too obvious. Whoever commissioned that piece of crap should hang his head.

It wouldn't hurt to see a news story about the thing, too.
