Reading online

Traveling at the moment so am only reading the online edition. Could it be that they ran the same photo on Page One and Page Three? I can hardly wait to get a look at the print version when I get home to check......because that's sure what it looks like on the Digital Whig.

I see on the front page the picture, with text next to it that says, basically, 'see page 3 for national story.' So, you see page 3 and you see the story it told you was inside. And the same photo. So what?

Running a thumbnail-sized version at the top or side, with a "see inside" teaser, is one thing. Running a photo in the middle of the page with the same size photo two pages later just makes it look like somebody was asleep at the switch, especially since it's an AP photo, which means there would have been dozens to choose from.

While I'm on the subject, somebody needs to proofread the H-W's ads better. Terrible's Casino has been stating for days now that it only has one customer ("our customer's safety is our number one priority"), and today I see that two apostrophes from "Last Year's Winners" of the 20 under 40 promotion have gone mysteriously missing. Maybe that stray sigma in the ad ate them, like Pac-Man eating the little dots.
